On 5th September, our social media and marketing executive, Natalia, met up with Christine Branch to donate the shoes and clothes Phoenix Solicitors have gathered from the Shoe-Be-Doo Campaign.
This year, Phoenix Solicitors have taken over the Shoe-Be-Doo Campaign to make a difference in the local community. The campaign aims to help local low-income families who are struggling to provide some of life’s every day essentials for their families.
Back in July, Phoenix Solicitors collected a lot of school uniform items, thanks to the support of parents and children from The Prep, who brought in unwanted articles of clothing and shoes to school.
The items were than donated to the Life Expectancy Project, better known as the Children’s Clothes Swap Shop. The swap shop is run by the St Chad’s Church, Leasowe and St. John’s Church, Meols.
It offers clothes for a range of people, from new babies up to 18-year-olds. It is open every Tuesday 11am-2pm and has been operating since October 2014. The swap shop is located at the St Chad’s Church, Twickenham Drive, Wirral CH46 1PG.
The donated items will now be sorted and distributed through the swap shop. Any items which they cannot use will be given to the Asylum Link Merseyside, an organisation dedicated to assisting Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Liverpool, and to raising public awareness around refugee issues.
Phoenix Solicitors would like to thank everyone involved in the campaign and the swap shop for their dedication in helping local families. We are looking forward to continuing the campaign next year and hope many families will be able to benefit from the donation.
