Phoenix Director makes Top 20 list for legal influencers on LinkedIn in the independent law firms category
The Director of Phoenix Solicitors, Alisha Butler, has been listed in the Top 20 Legal Influencers list on LinkedIn, from independent law firms.
The list, compiled by Simon Marshall of TBD Marketing, pulls together the voices from the UK’s legal sector and ranks those contributors through likes, impressions and comments on their posts on LinkedIn.
The list is made up of around 1,700 legal influencers spread across the top 200 UK law firms as well as independent law firms, barristers’ chambers and independent barristers.
The individuals are then ranked by best performers across the tens of thousands of posts to give a power score to each individual. That power score is then used to rank each individual in their relevant category.
Alisha’s relevant category is the “indies” list which refers to independent law firms, such as high street law firms, with an overall power score of 778.
On a number of her TikToks (@themedicalnegligencesolicitor) Alisha can often be found giving advice to those starting out on their legal journey, about the benefits of having a personal brand and LinkedIn profile.
Alisha commented:
“Building a personal brand is becoming more acceptable. When I was training and newly qualified my firm did not let us promote our own wins, in our own names, it had to be in the name of the firm, with no mention of the individual. This stunted our personal brand growth. Then came LinkedIn, which allowed individuals a platform to shout about their own successes, and failures (which we should also recognise).
Personal branding is important, clients want, and need, to get to know their solicitor. They want to be able to normalise them and see them as human beings, so that the client feels like it is personal, and they are not just a number or a chequebook. Clients will engage with you on social media and follow your journey, and having a professional social media presence that all shares a little bit of personal information, can be invaluable.
Most of my clients follow me on social media, even after their case has settled. They recommend their family and friends because you are still there, relevant on their social medical and they still, inadvertently follow your journey, subliminally so you will always be in the back of their minds when it comes to needing legal advice.
We must all move into the world of social media and eventually the metaverse. If you do not think a personal brand is important then I fear, you are likely to be left behind when it comes to the future leaders in law.”
Alisha has over 27yrs experience in Law starting out on her career at the age of 18 in personal injury. Alisha has spent the last 13yrs in medical negligence, fighting for justice and settlements for some of the most injured and secured a settlement of £3.5 million in September 2019 for a gentleman who lost his sight and needed his left arm amputating below the elbow, due to the hospital’s delay in diagnosing sepsis.
Alisha started Phoenix Solicitors 7yrs ago focusing mainly on medical negligence and supporting those who have suffered negligence through delays in diagnosing sepsis, spinal and brain injuries as well as birth injuries.
